Electric Car?" .... this documentary movie shows the evolution leading up to the bankruptcy
of the American Car manufacturing industry... how the car
companies put profits before people, and how that greed nearly
lead to their demise.
The documentary
traces how American car
manufacturers sued, lobbied, and fought against highly
efficient Electric Car
innovations during the 1990's... which in hindsight stifled
innovation and product development... essentially leading to
their own demise.
So, if you feel sick about bailing out corrupt American car
companies with billions of your tax money... you have good reason... because, not only are the
big 3 financially bankrupt, they are also ethically bankrupt
...
If GM would have mass produced the EV1, instead of
killing it... GM would be doing alot better right now (and
probably wouldn't need a bailout)... because, instead of being
stuck with significant amounts of nearly unsellable vehicles... customers would
have been flocking to GM Dealerships to buy the EV1 over the past couple years of record gas prices...
in fact, I'd like to buy an EV1 right now, because I'm sick and
tried of my gasoline purchases supporting morally bankrupt
oil companies and
OPEC, who've recently announced oil production cuts
in an effort to keep their oil prices artificially high.
Looking into the future of electric cars, I wouldn't worry about
the future strain on the existing power grid to power electric
cars... as electric cars could be significantly supported by a
new infrastructure of Solar and Wind farms... in fact, the
building of a new
domestic Solar and Wind power infrastructure
would create hundreds of thousands (maybe even millions) of
new domestic jobs.
